New Book Additions

"I stepped into the bookshop and breathed in that perfume of paper and magic that strangely no one had ever thought of bottling."

Any book addict knows that you can never own too many different realities - even though over half of your shelf are still TBR... I am definitely no exception. I ignore the calls of my unread books and give into the temptation of new additions, *hangs head in shame*. For my birthday I was given a Waterstones gift card and even though this was five months ago, I have only just gotten round to spending it. Unfortunately, we don't have a Waterstones in my home town so I have to travel a bit but this isn't a good enough excuse and I'm disappointed it took me so long!
I took a trip with my friend Jess to finally spend the money on books that I definitely do not need.

As soon as we walked into the bookshop, 'The Priory of the Orange Tree' - Samantha Shannon caught my eye. I have seen this beauty hyped by many book lovers, it's had a home on my Goodreads WTR shelf for a while. A story of dragons, magic and a falling queendom is a major appeal for a fantasy junkie like myself.

When browsing the classic, fantasy and Y/A fiction shelves I came across a lot of books that made me wish I had more money and a lot more time until I finally decided on another book that's lived on my list for a long time. 'Strange the Dreamer' - Laini Taylor is a tale of the lost city of Weep and how its discovery could change the life of Lazlo Strange, an orphaned librarian searching for adventure in all of the right places.

After spending just under an hour in the shop, we went home to add my new books to my rainbow shelf. Jess introduced me to a whole new world that I've never experienced. 'A Court of Thorns and Roses' - Sarah J.Mass has been sitting on my bookshelf collecting dust for far too long. Please, please don't throw rocks at me! I've had every intention to read from a lot of different reviews but I've never seen anyone as excited at ACOTAR's reality so I had to fully delve. I was given all three books in the main series and after reading half of the first, I am already hooked. If this is one that you've been meaning to read for a while then please do it, I promise you won't regret it.

After reading I will be posting my thoughts on each book, please let me know which one you would most like to hear about!
Have you read any of these books? What new additions do you have in your collection?
